ANZUS

The ANZUS Treaty was a mutual-defense pact signed in September of 1951 between the United States, New Zealand and Australia.

WARSAW

The Warsaw Pact was Stalin’s reaction to West Germany joining NATO in 1955. It was a direct counterpart to NATO and included East Germany and several other smaller Eastern European countries.

BAGHDAD

The Baghdad Pact was signed in February 1955 by Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, and Britain to resist communist expansion in the Middle East.
